Temperature-resistant biohydraulic oil for use in construction, agriculture and forestry

Whether excavators, harvesters or snow groomers: With Divinol SynthoHyd Eco 46, lubricant manufacturer Zeller+Gmelin presents a high-performance biohydraulic oil for use in construction, forestry and agricultural machinery. The low-consumption, biodegradable lubricant ensures maximum service life and can be used all year round at both extremely low and high temperatures thanks to its temperature stability.

Divinol SynthoHyd Eco 46 was recently awarded the EU Ecolabel by independent testing bodies for its environmentally friendly and sustainable composition. The biohydraulic oil is therefore virtually predestined for use in ecologically sensitive areas. "At the same time, we are setting new standards in terms of performance," emphasizes Andreas Krapf, Product Manager Lubricants at Zeller+Gmelin. "Better lubrication properties noticeably increase the service life, while the use of resources is reduced: the change intervals are longer and, under normal conditions, a service life of up to 10,000 hours can be expected." To achieve the maximum service life, the oil should only be filtered from time to time or the use should be accompanied by regular laboratory oil analyses.

Reliable even in extreme temperature ranges

The biohydraulic oil is additivated to protect against ageing, corrosion and wear in order to meet the requirements of construction, forestry and agricultural applications. In addition, a balanced viscosity behavior adapted to this creates a wide temperature application range. Thanks to the synthetic base oil characteristics, no resinification or deposits occur due to thermally induced oil ageing, even at higher operating temperatures. Product Manager Andreas Krapf explains: 'Our new hydraulic oil has a temperature range of -25°C to 110°C and therefore ideally covers the standard application range - temperatures of 120°C or 130°C are also no problem at peak times." The product can also cope with higher temperature ranges permanently, but the classic rule that temperature increases of 10°C shorten the service life by 50 percent applies here. "With conventional hydraulic oils, oxidation products lead to deposits in the system. Divinol SynthoHyd Eco 46 protects the machines significantly better than standard oils - we were recently able to prove this in the Cincinati P70 test, a well-known measurement method for oil sludge formation, which is carried out at 135°C."
