Copper casting rollers

Optimum lubrication, both on the roll stands and the numerous other lubrication points.

The initial forming of a copper wire begins with casting rolling. In this process, copper cathodes are melted and poured into an endless ingot using casting machines. The red-hot ingot is then formed into a round wire between rollers.

The lubricants from Zeller+Gmelin ensure continuous and consistent optimum lubrication, both on the roll stands and the numerous other lubrication points. Our portfolio covers hydraulic oils, gear oils and special greases.

Our Multiroll CU series is used on rolling mills worldwide and reliably enables the production of the highest quality wire rod. High surface qualities can be achieved with low residual oxide quantities. The application of our Multiroll Coating products provides our customers with reliable corrosion protection for their wire rod.
