The modern production of single and double jersey knitted fabrics is now carried out on mechanical and electronic large circular knitting machines. In addition, high-system machines produce using the jacquard and interlock method. The large number of needles, which form stitches with very high precision, results in a homogeneous knitting pattern. This manufacturing process is used for undershirts, T-shirts, mattress covers and technical textiles such as loudspeaker covers and headliners.
