Machines and systems require a power transmission medium - so-called hydraulic fluids or oils - for the hydraulic units to function properly. In agriculture and forestry in particular, hardly any machine or vehicle works without hydraulic fluid. Tractors, combine harvesters and logging vehicles - harvesters - often require hundreds of liters of hydraulic fluid for operation
Biodegradable hydraulic oils are becoming increasingly important, particularly in terms of environmental protection. Degradability according to OECD 301, ecolabels such as the EU Euromargerite or the Blue Angel and suitability according to ISO 15380 are essential requirements for high-quality biohydraulic oils.
