The electric motor of an electrified vehicle, sometimes also referred to as an e-machine, is an essential component for driving the vehicle. The electric motor converts the electrical energy provided into kinetic energy. This assembly has a variety of different designs and sizes. However, what they all have in common is that they essentially consist of a housing, a stator and a rotor.
Whether for punching rotor laminations, manufacturing magnets, producing hairpins or forming and machining housing parts, Zeller+Gmelin has an extensive portfolio of lubricants for manufacturing components for the electric motor. Zeller+Gmelin is also researching new types of lubricating greases for lubricating motor bearings in order to meet the high demands of thermal loads and high speeds.
