Conserving resources - low-lubricant sheet metal forming

For us, environmentally-oriented action starts with product development.

As a climate-neutral company at the Eislingen site, we focus on the environment, resource conservation and relevant CO2 reduction potential - summarized under the term sustainability. Our environmentally-oriented actions are not limited to the Eislingen site, but begin with the development of products.

In this context, we were able to take advantage of the close links between the Steel + Aluminum and Car Body business units and develop products for both areas that dovetail perfectly and at the same time make a major contribution to sustainability by conserving resources. Products are presented here as examples:

Multidraw PL 61 SE

Multidraw PL 61 SE is our second generation Prelube. This corrosion protection agent with forming properties is applied to the body sheet in the rolling mill as a final oiling before it is wound into a coil. Due to its many advantages over pure corrosion protection agents, but above all due to its additional forming properties, it is possible to use significantly less additional oiling later in the press shop and thus save valuable resources. The amount of oil required is also significantly lower with the second-generation Prelube compared to the first generation.

Multidraw KTL N 16

This very efficient spotlube for additional oiling is perfectly matched to our prelubes and washing oils, which means that less spotlube has to be used and the number of rejects of pressed parts can be reduced.

All in all, our products ensure that significant amounts of resources can be saved along the body production process chain, offering both ecological and economic benefits - with first-class product performance.
