Textol R can be used for cleaning knitting machines as well as sewing and other textile machines. The product not only removes stubborn incrustations on the machine parts, but also soiling in the machines when applied during operation.

Special procedure on circular knitting machines

a.) For manual cleaning or when the machine is open, the product is used undiluted.

b.) Proceed as follows when the machine is running:

1. mix Textol R with Textol needle and sinker oil in a ratio of 1:1. The fill level of the oil tank on the machine should not be more than 50 % before adding Textol R.

2. press the FLUSH button several times while the machine is running or set the oil quantity to be pumped to max. Set the flow rate to be pumped.

This is the only way to ensure that lint or fiber dust is flushed out of the lock channels.

3. reduce the speed of the machine to approx. 15 -18 rpm.

If the machine is loaded with yarn and fabric, the knitted fabric is likely to become soiled during the cleaning period. This must then be discarded.

As a rule, the cleaning process is completed after approx. 1 hour as soon as clean knitted fabric comes out of the machine. However, depending on the degree of soiling or cleaning intervals, the duration may vary upwards or downwards.

5 After the cleaning process, the oil container must be completely emptied again.

6. fill the container with fresh Textol needle and sinker oil.

7. start the machine and press the FLUSH button again to remove any remaining cleaner from the
supply hoses.

8. reduce oil quantity to "normal level".

9. machine can be operated at the usual speed again.

Alternative procedure on circular knitting machines

Textol R can also be used to clean machine parts during normal operation:

1. Spray Textol R onto the needle channel on the cylinder using a pressure pump sprayer. Up to 4 sprays 
2. Repeat the process several times for stubborn stains. 

If the machine is loaded with yarn and fabric, the knitted fabric is likely to become soiled during the cleaning period. This must then be discarded.
