Zeller+Gmelin at the Blechexpo 2025

Efficiency, experience and innovation – that’s what Zeller+Gmelin stands for. At Blechexpo 2025, the lubricant specialist will be demonstrating how modern forming processes can be optimally supported. This year, special attention will be paid to the interdisciplinary Multidraw sheet metal forming media, far beyond the car body portfolio.

With tailor-made solutions not only for the automotive sector, which will continue to offer exciting challenges in the future with the topics of e-mobility or body construction, Zeller+Gmelin supports its customers across all industries: because medical technology, the white goods industry, the defense sector or the packaging industry also benefit from Multidraw forming media. And they do so along the entire process chain, from rolling mill lubrication and forming itself to cleaning, corrosion protection and industrial lubricants. The Swabian lubricant specialist offers a suitable solution for almost all areas of non-cutting metalworking. “Blechexpo in Stuttgart is the most important trade fair of the year for us in this area, as we, as a manufacturer and expert in forming lubricants, maintain a direct exchange with customers from the entire forming industry here,” emphasizes Dr. Irene Kreitmeir, Product Manager at Zeller+Gmelin. “Our aim is to design economically sustainable and reliable solutions for every application.”

Visitors to Blechexpo in Hall 8, Stand 8407 will find out how Zeller+Gmelin uses lubricant concepts to make production processes more efficient and safer, while also conserving resources. The Multidraw series with optimum tribological properties guarantees high surface quality, long tool life and therefore optimum results – even in complex forming operations.

It was therefore no coincidence that Multidraw PL 61 was the first prelubricant to be approved by the VDA Working Group on Forming Lubricants in 1996.

Prelube, Spotlube and Drylube for upstream process steps

But time does not stand still and with Multidraw PL 61 SE, a modern second-generation prelube that is particularly suitable for effective rolling mill lubrication, Zeller+Gmelin once again has a product that meets all market requirements. Multidraw PL 61 SE makes a noticeable contribution to reducing zinc abrasion during the forming of hot-dip galvanized surfaces. It is characterized by excellent compatibility with all uncoated and coated sheet metal surfaces and also has optimum flow inhibition.

In addition, Zeller+Gmelin has Multidraw KTL N 1, a washing oil for coil and blank washing systems that is coordinated with Multidraw PL 61 SE and also takes into account the current requirements of the VDA. And with Spotlube Multidraw KTL N 20, an optimally matched product has been developed that can be used specifically for the chipless forming of aluminium, steel, galvanized sheet metal and high-strength steels of all kinds with medium to heavy forming degrees.

Multidraw Drylube E 1 is a very special product for low-lubricant sheet metal forming. The Holtmelt, i.e. an anhydrous coil coating agent with VDA approval for all steels and aluminum, leaves a non-slip layer on the metal surface after application. The “semi-dry” film then enables high degrees of forming thanks to its good flexibility and sliding properties.

Corrosion-free and clean processes

However, Zeller+Gmelin not only relies on perfectly matched prelubes, spotlubes and drawing oils, which are tailored to OEM requirements from the rolling to the pressing plant, but also offers a broad portfolio of cleaning and pre-treatment media under the Divinol brand name: In the area of aqueous products, alkaline, neutral and acidic cleaners are available. Alternatively, there are solvent and alcohol-based solutions for the safe removal of lubricant residues and soiling.

High-quality corrosion protection agents are also available to meet every special requirement and ensure permanently flawless surfaces.

With the Divinol and Multidraw brands, components are reliably manufactured and optimally protected for the next production step.

“Our wide range of lubricants covers almost every application in sheet metal forming,” says Dr. Irene Kreitmeir from practical experience. “Thanks to the versatile products, our customers can reduce the number of lubricants used and thus avoid confusion.”
