The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) sets globally recognized requirements for the processing of textiles made from organically produced natural fibers. It encompasses ecological and social criteria along the entire supply chain, from the harvesting of raw materials through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing to the labeling of end products. The standard aims to secure the organic status of textiles and provide consumers with reliable assurance.
Zeller+Gmelin supports this standard, which is why many of our needle and sinker oils, approved additives verified by ECOCERT GREENLIFE, comply with the GOTS standard (GOTS = Global Organic Textile Standard).
ZDHC and Roadmap to Zero
Zeller+Gmelin is also committed to the goals of the ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) and the Roadmap to Zero program. Our Textol products are Verified by ECOCERT GREENLIFE according to the ZDHC MRSL Conformance Guidance 2.1 Level 2 & 3. This means that our products meet stringent requirements for reducing hazardous chemicals, thus making a significant contribution to sustainable textile production.
