Concrete mixing plant – Mixer protection
Ready-mixed concrete, which is produced in concrete mixing plants in stationary concrete plants, requires not only water-repellent high-performance greases but also mixer protection products for the heart of the plant – the concrete mixer. This has the task of mixing the concrete batch in a short time. Adhesion of the concrete is effectively prevented with Divinol Mixer Protection.

The drum of the truck and the discharge chute are sprayed with high-quality mixer protection with dewatering properties to prevent the concrete from sticking and to protect the metal parts from corrosion. This ensures a long service life for the systems. Environmentally friendly products based on vegetable oil are preferred here.

Preparation of the formwork and cleaning
To achieve the desired quality of the concrete surface, it is essential to clean and remove any dirt, concrete and dust adhering to the formwork. After the cleaning process, the formwork must be dried. Careful drying is important, as the release agent is
surfaces cannot be applied properly. In the precast plant, the formwork is roughly cleaned manually before use and then concrete residue and dust are removed using automatic brushing systems. It should also be noted that corrosion protection agents should be removed from steel formwork that has not been used for some time. Our Divinol concrete remover provides good service for stubborn concrete residues. The cleaner can be used in a ratio of pure up to 1:5 to effectively combat deposits.

Pre-treatment of formwork
Divinol concrete release agents can be applied to all formwork used in practice. For the various types of formwork, such as steel formwork, all-plastic formwork, high-quality plastic-coated formwork, etc., we have the appropriate high-quality release agent for you in our range, depending on the requirements of the formwork. These formworks do not require any pre-treatment.
For rough-sawn timber formwork, pre-treatment of the formwork is necessary to avoid the so-called “wood sugar”. This occurs when exposed to sunlight, releasing wood constituents and causing sanding on the concrete surface. This can be prevented by using our Divinol Formwork Wax HFP. The product is sprayed on. After it has dried, the appropriate release agent can be applied.

Application of the release agent
For perfect results and easy stripping, the concrete release agent must be applied professionally. The spraying method with portable pressure sprayers on the construction site, in which the selected release agent is sprayed onto the formwork at high pressure, has proven itself for this purpose.
A flat jet nozzle delivers ideal results. On the one hand, this ensures that the release agent is applied evenly and thinly, which also means that the product is used sparingly and is economical to use. Round jet nozzles, on the other hand, often lead to increased application of the release agent. The optimum pressure of 4-5 bar in the tank is generated by pumps, ensuring a clean spray pattern.

In addition to the aforementioned portable sprayers, stationary spraying systems are also used in the industrial production of construction elements in precast plants. The work pressure is significantly higher here. Nozzles with smaller diameters are used there, which have a smaller,
ensure even application. It is also important to work cleanly, as dirt particles can get into the release agent layer when the formwork is installed. These in turn cause stains or discoloration on the concrete surface.
