Zeller+Gmelin has decided to further expand its long-standing partnership with Frisch Auf Göppingen through an A-sponsorship. After many years as a B-sponsor, the traditional Eisinger company, founded in 1866, has now become an A-sponsor of the Bundesliga handball team.

“As a regionally based company with an annual turnover of almost 330 million euros, it is important to us to return part of our profits to the region,” emphasizes Siegfried Müller, Managing Director Marketing & Sales at Zeller+Gmelin. “We are aware of our responsibility and want to further strengthen our brand in the region through sponsorship.”
The sponsorship focuses on employer branding, increasing brand awareness of Zeller+Gmelin and its subsidiary Südöl as well as supporting Frisch Auf. “Zeller+Gmelin has achieved a leading position in various industries worldwide with its products. This philosophy fits perfectly with competitive sport, as we know how challenging the path to the goals we have set is – and that it can only be achieved with great commitment and a strong team,” adds Tobias Dannenmann, Head of Marketing & Product Management. “Through our sponsorship, we want to underline our attractiveness in the region and beyond and attract talented specialists.”
Long-term partnership with prospects
Zeller+Gmelin looks back on a long tradition of supporting Frisch Auf Göppingen “Especially in times of a weakening global economy, it is important to us to support the club on a long-term and sustainable basis and to extend our A-sponsorship over several seasons,” explains Siegfried Müller.
A particular focus of the partnership is the sponsorship with coach Ben Matschke. “We are convinced of his philosophy and the path he has taken with the team. It is this clear focus that will lead to sporting success in the long term, and we are delighted to be part of this process,” says Tobias Dannenmann.
“Firstly, we are extremely proud that Zeller+Gmelin has decided to work closely with FRISCH AUF! Göppingen in pursuing its upcoming communication goals over the next few years and, secondly, we are very grateful that this commitment is being made in this form, especially in economically challenging times for everyone involved,” says Peter Kühnle, Deputy Managing Director of Frisch Auf Göppingen.
As a globally active company, Zeller+Gmelin is represented in over 100 countries with its lubricants, printing inks and chemical products. The company’s innovative solutions are in demand in various industries, from the automotive industry and mechanical engineering to printing inks for the food sector.
