We are expanding our portfolio of specialty lubricants with Multidraw CU MW (item no. 3550), developed specifically for the medium and fine drawing of copper wire. The water-miscible high-performance lubricant combines excellent cooling and lubricating properties with high process reliability and optimizes production processes while ensuring consistently high wire quality.

Multidraw CU MW is characterized by exceptional buffering capacity, outstanding long-term stability and very good foaming properties. The specially formulated formula ensures a permanently shiny wire surface with low copper erosion and reduced oxide content. Tinned copper wires can also be processed without any problems, making the special lubricant suitable for a wide range of materials.
Thanks to the high pH value stability and the high content of non-ferrous metal protection, the emulsion remains stable over a long period of time, which significantly reduces maintenance requirements and extends the service life of the machines. The product’s low-foaming properties also enable trouble-free processes, while the excellent machine cleanliness facilitates cleaning and minimizes deposits.
Dr. Dilahan Aydin-Cantürk, Product Manager at Zeller+Gmelin, emphasizes: “With Multidraw CU MW, we offer our customers a special lubricant that meets the latest requirements in wire production. The combination of a reliable lubricating effect, low maintenance and consistently high wire quality makes the product a safe solution for different wire diameters and materials. Multidraw CU MW ensures consistent results and efficient processes, particularly in companies that process both uncoated and tinned copper wires.”
With its specially developed formulation, Multidraw CU MW supports copper wire manufacturers in increasing production quality and efficiency, reducing waste and at the same time increasing process reliability – a decisive advantage for the requirements of modern wire production.
