Zeller+Gmelin will be presenting new developments in the areas of cooling lubricants and automated fluid management at this year’s FMB. The trade fair for the supplier industry for mechanical and plant engineering will take place from November 5 to 7 in Bad Salzuflen. The trade fair presentation will focus on the optimization of machining processes and the use of smart monitoring technologies to increase efficiency.
As a trade fair, the FMB is firmly anchored in the mechanical engineering industry’s calendar and has served as a meeting place for companies in the supplier industry for many years. Machine manufacturers and providers of industrial services present their latest technologies and solutions here. Zeller+Gmelin uses the trade fair to present visitors with the latest metalworking fluids and solutions for process optimization in manufacturing.
High-performance lubricants for metal cutting
The focus of the trade fair presentation will be on the tried-and-tested lubricant brands Zubora and Multicut, which have been specially developed for various machining applications. One highlight is the new, fully synthetic cooling lubricant Zubora TTS PF, which does not contain any critical ingredients.
“With Zubora TTS PF, we are presenting a pictogram-free metalworking fluid at the FMB that combines maximum efficiency with environmental friendliness,” explains Thorsten Wechmann, Strategic Business Unit Manager at Zeller+Gmelin. “In times when sustainability and health protection are becoming increasingly important, we offer a solution that optimizes machine performance while also focusing on occupational safety and environmental protection.”
Cutting oils for demanding machining tasks
In addition to cooling lubricants, Zeller+Gmelin is also focusing on Multicut cutting oils, which have been specially developed for machining non-ferrous metals. New at the FMB is Multicut Grind HP 15 NF, a high-performance grinding oil for cylindrical and profile grinding with high temperature resistance and excellent lubricating properties. The Multicut FSE HSC 15 NF for high-speed machining and the Multicut Basic HP 15 Extra NF for demanding machining processes will also be presented. An all-rounder in the range is Multicut Plus 10 NF, which is suitable for conventional, medium-duty cutting tasks. “Our cutting oils are the result of continuous development work,” explains Thorsten Wechmann. “We attach great importance to supplying products that are technically convincing and at the same time economically and ecologically sensible, for example through the use of modern base oils such as hydrocrack oils or sustainable esters.”
Intelligent fluid management with ZG Fluid-Check Pro
The ZG Fluid-Check Pro, a system for the automated monitoring of cooling lubricants, will also be presented at stand 21-B22. Developed in collaboration with HYDAC, it enables the continuous recording and analysis of parameters such as concentration, pH value, conductivity and temperature in real time. This allows deviations to be detected immediately and the lubricant supply to the machines to be adjusted automatically.
Thanks to automated monitoring, the system stabilizes the process conditions, increases the service life of the tools and improves production reliability. This type of monitoring is particularly important for complex production lines in order to avoid downtimes and reductions in quality. “With ZG Fluid-Check Pro, production processes can be optimized by automating the monitoring of cooling lubricants – this minimizes downtimes and reduces costs,” Thorsten Wechmann sums up. “The system can be easily integrated into existing systems and supports the path to Industry 4.0. We are also happy to convince trade visitors at the FMB of this”
