The new generation of the UV-curing METALCURE U30 series is suitable for printing on coated metal substrates in sheet-fed offset printing.
More than 20 years of know-how have gone into the new MetalCure® U30 paint series. Compared to our previous standard UVALUX® U3, this was a tough nut to crack, but the new MetalCure® U30 makes the difference and really is in a league of its own.
Impressive: Rich colors thanks to optimum ink transfer and homogeneous ink laydown enable prints of the highest quality. The perfectly balanced formulation of MetalCure® U30 results in lower layer thicknesses on the sheet while maintaining the same high density.
Forward-looking: The identical pigmentation to UVALUX® U3 means that existing mixing formulations can be easily adopted.
Clear: A new numbering system simplifies the designation of our monopigmented basic colors – yet the reference to the predecessor product remains visible on the label during the transition period.
Sustainable: Existing stock quantities of UVALUX® U3 are fully compatible with MetalCure® U30 and can be mixed and printed in combination.
Flexible: UVALUX® U3 was the benchmark in terms of formability and curing properties. With MetalCure® U30 you don’t have to make any compromises – on the contrary, the thermoforming results, with or without sterilization, will inspire you!
Current and future requirements were taken into account when selecting and formulating the raw materials.
- Current: Free from ITX, BPA, benzophenone, Irgacure 369, Irgacure 379 and TPO
- Free from TMPTA
- Free from PFAS, PFOA and PTFE
An independent analysis is available and confirms the suitability for food packaging.
On the market since April 2024
The four process colors CMYK and opaque white will be available from April 1, 2024. The Z base colors for mixing systems will be available from May/June.
With this new ink series, we are convinced that we are bringing an extremely competitive product onto the market whose technical performance on the machine speaks for itself.
